The Ballerina and the Right Brain

Enjoyed a wonderful day learning about psychology and the plasticity of the human brain earlier this week with leading psychologist, Gregeory Nicoleau.  A day where I was amazed at how our brain can develop and relearn things after trauma when in a supported and stimulating environment. And here's a little activity to see how it all works.  There were oohs and ahhs from me as I went through this exercise.  First realising that for me, my dominance is right brain (feelings, big picture, symbols, future etc) and then seeing how I could change it to left brain (facts, details, specifics, words, past etc)   The brain is truly amazing.  And then I had to do it again and again to make sure I could actually work with my brain to do this. Have a go for yourself here.         http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/wacky/the-right-brain-vs-left-brain/story-e6frev20-1111114577583
Hope your experience is as mine was and you have a WOW brain experience. I now have a much greater appreciation for the science of the human brain and it now appears in my gratitude journal as something I give thanks for each day!
